Toolbar contents do not all display in 800 x 600 px screen resolution.

Hello and Happy Halloween Wink

I like the idea of the new Toolbar but....
In whichever screen resolution I am viewing, the Toolbar display does not properly equate with the display of the webpage content, both at my own forums site and at this forumotion help site.

These first prints are at screen resolution 800 x 600 px which is what I normally always use. (everything is visible here except the toolbar's Search box)

The above would be fine if the Share buttons could be moved further to the right of the toolbar, to make room for the Search box to display.

These below are at screen resolution 1024 x 768 px, which I don't use but I expect some users do. (everything displays here on the toolbar including the Search box, but it means the whole page display is far too wide and with the webpage content too small and narrow in the middle)

Can it be fixed so that the toolbar's full contents will display in whichever screen resolution the pages are being viewed?

Cas

(PS -these floating halloween ghosties are getting a bit annoying!!! hehehe Razz)

Hello Cas,

You could use this CSS to move the share buttons to the right:
Code:
#fa_share{
margin-right:20px;
float:right;
}
The searchbar however, is removed in the script by detecting the screen resolution I believe. If the screen gets smaller than what you mentioned, share is then remove, and after share if it gets smaller the toolbar is removed.

I can see why this is because the toolbar is pretty much fixed or absolutely positioned. It uses the screen to calculate its total width, and if the screen becomes too small displaying all of that content will appear messy or overlapped. That could be avoided by decreasing the overall size of the contents as well I suppose.
