Solved Remove "Today's active topics" from homepage

Post by inallsorts on November 2nd 2013, 7:12 am

Greetings everyone,

Prior to posting this, I've used the search function to no avail. So basically I'd like to remove the Today's active topics link from the homepage. I've successfully removed the Today's top 20 posters & Overall top 20 posters with this code:

Code:
ul.linklist li a[href*="memberlist?mode=today_posters"], ul.linklist li a[href*="memberlist?mode=overall_posters"] {
  display: none !important;
}
All that's left, Is to remove the "Today's active topics" link. I'm running phpBB3.
Thanks for all help In advance.

Thanks Zyon, the code worked perfectly.

However the only problem Is, It's left the "bullet points" as per the below Image:

Any code to get rid of those?
Thanks again for your help.

You can remove all that coding you've added so far and just use this code below, it will remove all of it including the bullets:

AP>>Display>>Colors>>CSS stylesheet:
Code:
ul.linklist li {
display: none!important;
}

It worked, but It also removed the Home, Memberlist, Search, Profile, Login, etc from the top of the homepage. And also removed the "View posts since last visit, View your posts& View unanswered posts".

Appreciate your help. There must be a code just to remove only the bullet points.

Oh wow didn't realize it would effect all of that, well that won't work, sorry bout that.

I don't know of a way to remove those bullets with phpbb3 because you can't edit the template. Seems like someone can find a workaround for you.

Good luck

Yes, today I'm trying to find code for it and trying on my forum, you can't remove that or you will remove all.

I don't know even how to find it...

I will try something, but I think you can't.

Unfortunately, since you're using phpBB3, we cannot remove it. If we had access to the templates, then of course we would've had inserted a div class tag around those links, but unfortunately, we can't, sorry.

Is this solved?

Sir Chivas

So you want to remove the bullets, correct?

Using color transparency it should at least hide them from sight. We cannot remove one specifically without temp editing, but we can hide all of them if you prefer it.

Use this:
Code:
ul.linklist{
color:transparent;
}

Sir Chivas: Very nice! thumright Why couldn't I think about this. Lol
