Solved Beginner needing some expertise with search bar

Post by juneya on November 2nd 2013, 3:19 pm

Would you please take a look at my forum.

www.bassaddicts.org

I would like to delete the search/jump bar at the bottom and also can someone tell me why the bullets don't line up with the topics?

Any help would be much appreciated.

Hello juneya,

This should fix the footer, and remove the forum jump selection:

Apply it to your stylesheet
Administration Panel > Display > Pictures and colors > Colors > CSS stylesheet
Code:
#gfooter{
background-color:#000;
}
#gfooter #qjump > fieldset > select{
display:none;
}
Which bullets do not line up with the topics? Could you provide us with an example, an image perhaps?

Add this to your css.
Code:
#gfooter {
    display: none !important;
}
About the bullets, i don't understand the problem. Can you post a screenshot?

That is odd, It displays as this on Firefox:

Have you tried clearing your cache to see if that resolves the issue?

Try adding this to your stylesheet:
Code:
table.ipbtable tfoot td{
background-image:url('http://hitskin.com/themes/13/20/03/i_back_catg.gif');
}
It looks to me like an image should be there.

It did, until I got busy doing some other things and then it came back. But I opened it up in google chrome and it was fine. I'm not sure what the problem is.

I figured out the problem. I had accidentally clicked on the compatibility icon in my toolbar. Problem is solved. Thank you so much for your time and patience with a beginner. I'm trying my hardest to make a nice site and it is with your help.
