In progress Cant Login my Administrator Account!

I was messing around the users group and changed the username of the account and now everytime i log into any previous name
(i've tried the original user+pw, and the new user)
but everytime i login with the CORRECT INFORMATION
it says this EVERY time no matter what info i put in...please help
"You have specified an incorrect or inactive username, or an invalid password."

i have already read that, but when i click 'i forgot my password' it asks for username and email associated with it, and no matter what i put in it just says 

"The e-mail address you supplied does not match the one listed for that username."

Someone please help?
