In progress Banned for No reason

Post by mochacup November 5th 2013, 04:00

Hello, this is my second time inquiring about my complaint of being being banned for no reason at an un-named forum. I fear retaliation from them and have to use an alternate username to ask my questions.
I reported abuse and also made complaint at the button marked litigation to no avail. It has been approximately nine months and I have not heard anything from any authority on the matter. (Authority such as a impartial party from Forum Motion that is not friends with the Owner of the un-named forum).
Briefly, the owner/administrator of un-named forum banned me for no reason. My reason for reporting the abuse and litigation is due to their racism and over a rule that does not exist; such as capitalizing a letter in a post.
I think nine months is more than enough time to wait for some kind of response.
The first time that I posted about the matter here was two years ago before it escalated. Now I am banned because I reported the racism/hatred.
May I ask why my complaint was not sent to the "litigation" department or not addressed yet? Thank you for your time.

If you did send a litigation report then the litigation team read it and check the un-named forum.  Either they determined that the forum did not have any violations of the Terms of Service or gave the owner of the forum some time to fix the forum.  Being banned from a forum is not against the Terms of Services.  An owner of a forum can ban anyone without a good reason or giving a reason.

thank you to s.l. gray for your response. i worded my post wrong. my apology.
i am complaining about the forum's definite violation of TOS.
i did submit my copies of evidence with my complaint to the "report abuse" and to the "litigation" buttons.
i would not be here if the forum owner would have fixed her violation in the first place. with all due respect. Sad
i am also aware that any forum group can ban anyone that they choose. once again with all due respect. Crying or Very sad

Hello
First as you are not showing any url, screenshots... we cannot see what you are talking about. I absolutly understand your problem. But here, there is a volutee team that spend time to answer your trouble. So, please provide more information when you open a topic.
Then, you should know that all founders can ban people of their forum. It is their right and Forumotion can do nothing about it.
Finally, of course racism is not allowed. So, thank you for reporting it. If the forum is really breaking down rules, there is reason litigation staff acts out it.

Regards

Did you send the screenshots in the litigation report?

Like Buttercup said, we are not in contact with the litigation team, so we do not see litigation reports or know what the situation is.

hello slgray, thank you for responding. yes, i sent screenshots to the litigation dept. i have question in relation to this topic. the owner sent me an email to argue and accuse; not to resolve the matter. i can't believe these kind of people are allowed to keep a forum open. they obviously are good at hiding their behavior and too much benefit of doubt is being given to them without it being earned. anyways; the owner may have already told the litigation department she was going to resolve it the first time; but she did not contact me the first time. they took her word and let it go. this time she is getting away with it. i also did not know that screenshots had to be taken for evidence. it is good thing i had taken few screenshots that i could. thank you for your valuable volunteer time because i appreciate it.
