hello,

We recommend you not to use .TK or all other free "domain names" with your forums!!

They are not real domains, they are just a virtual DBS that will destroy all your forum SEO despite of all the technical problem that they can cause to the forum like user registration problem, account validation problem.

Regards

Buttercup

I'll be blunt here as I've researched into how many problems .tk domains provide. A .tk domain like Buttercup said isn't good for your forum, it can cause a whole host of issues and as I said in a previous thread you'd be much better going with a domain name forumotion provides than a .tk domain.

Plus most people know about the dangers of a .tk domain and therefore will know its free. So wouldn't you be better for your forum to take a good free domain from forumotion that is provided with your forum?

So you'd rather go with a .tk domain that isn't actually even a real domain and can destroy SEO rankings, which means its unlikely anyone will find your forum anyway.

Honestly using a forumotion domain is a best way to go as at least you'll get ranked on all search engines and once you get some activity you'll start to move up the ladder in terms of search ranking.

Most new forums can't be found easily without typing in the name of the forum when they are new but over time they grow and eventually start appearing at the top of google more often.
