To restrict threads or not according to members posts
Can we restrict certain threads in the forum until a certain number of posts have been made by members?
Currently, access to our forums can only be restricted as a whole rather than in threads as well. I would like suggest that we vote on whether the admins or creator of forumotion if they can also work on restricting threads. How I would like it to work is by way of restricting members access to certain threads until they have posted the required number of posts. These posts would have to be quality posts and should be in the threads that admins/mods have indicated in their own forums. Once a member as fulfilled the required amount of posts, they can then ask for access to the restricted threads. It should also be created in a way where members who try and access the restricted threads will see a pop up window telling them that they do not yet have the privilege of accessing the restricted threads until the minimum required posts have been fulfilled or something like that.
I would like something like this for the following reasons:
What say you?
I would like something like this for the following reasons:
- It would increase participation of members in the forum;
- It would encourage members not to be sponges on the forum;
- It would allow admins to rank members according to participation; and
- It would allow admins another avenue of weeding out members to be banned from forum for lack of participation.
What say you?

I need this too, I want to make one forum of the board only viewable to those with, say, 10 posts. Is this possible?~

Create a group that is auto-subscribe by 10 posts, then set the permissions for that section.Vitamin wrote:I need this too, I want to make one forum of the board only viewable to those with, say, 10 posts. Is this possible?~
