Solved Widget Management and Tables

Post by Cieniu on December 11th 2013, 1:18 pm

Hi. I have another 2 question about management.

1. I saw that i can add the widget but i cannot add it like i want. Here is a screen shot explaining everything i think:

Here is a widget "Top Listy" and its going inside the table of forum and moving whole categories etc right like u can see. i want that widget "outside" table forum on that free box space. Hope u can understand my poor english sorry for it.

2. I dont know how to hide some counters on main page of forum:

I dont want to have on main page how many Posts and topic this folder have, how to hide it?

Thanks for ur time spent on my question
Best Regards Cieniu.

Hello Cieniu,

You can hide the total number of posts / topics by adding this to your CSS stylesheet
Administration Panel > Display > Pictures and colors > Colors > CSS stylesheet
Code:
.tc2, .tc3 { display:none; }

Which widgets do you want to move ? I do not see any widgets on your forum unless I missed them.

I believe that can be achieve by placing the left widgets as absolute.

Add this to your CSS :
Code:
#content-container div#left { position:absolute; left:3px; }

If you want to keep the widgets fixed remove the old code and use this :
Code:
#content-container div#left {
position:fixed;
left:3px;
top:40px;
}

However, you should note when the widgets are fixed do not put too many as you will be unable to see them all.

For you last posts size, use this CSS :
Code:
.pun table .tcr { width:15%; }

You can adjust the percent to what you wish.

How to change it?

Edit:

Hmm..

Try adding this to your CSS for the width of the forum and see if it changes :
Code:
.pun { width:855px !important; }

Nothing happened. I just get that:

Forum Widgets Management -> Forum widgets general options

When i enable widgets this minimum width is 180. when i put there 250, my forum resize even to larger width.
Maybe that info will help u a bit.

Put the widget size back to 180px in the AP.

You should be able to modify the width of the widgets using this CSS instead :
Code:
#content-container div#left { width:250px; }

I do not believe this affects the forum width.

I ran a test on my test forum and noticed that a min-width is added when widgets are active. This is to add more space for the widgets.

Add this to your CSS to disable the minimum width :
Code:
.pun { min-width:0; }
