Redirect link for rules confirmation of reading

Post by paranoid092 on December 22nd 2013, 12:41 pm

What Im after is a way to redirect a newly registered member to a thread on my forum (rules) that they have to read before posting their first post only, then it will redirect after they have clicked on a ok button to show that they have visited this post so they have actually accepted reading the rules of my forum (if they read it or not that's up to them) but its more of a verify that they have read the forum rules,

Also, when they have clicked the read rules button, it places their account name into a list of confirmed users that have read it, I hope im making sense,

Its only for newly reged members, not for guests, or members have made at least 1 post.

Ive probably posted this in the wrong place, (im good at that) so if its posted in the wrong place, Id like it to be moved to the correct place

What you are looking forward to is something that will make members "pissed off" because some of them don't want to do what is necessary. So i am giving you an advice (as a friend) not to do this because members will not come as they would come the way your forum is now!SmileWink

So your saying to click a button only once will piss members off?? where do you get that from, I stated that they would only have to do this once on their first post, not every post, and reged members and guests wouldn't be affected by this,
