I have just invested in a  the above tablet and I have noticed that some css scripts and javasript do not appear to work with the basic browser. Some work slightly better when using the firefox app, but the new post icon does not display. the menu bar does not display the icon but just shows the menu item name and repeats it for what would be the icon.

Yes I know people will say use the mobile mode, but I prefer the standard view as it has a 10 inch screen.

Just as test I visited your site on my Sony Xperia J mobile, and I visited in classic mode (meaning not the mobile version) and everything displayed as and how it should be. I didn't encounter any of the issues you had listed above.

It sounds like it is device related. Now I'm not suggesting you have an issue with your device, but there have been problems to do with CSS and Javascript appearing on devices.

So unfortunately unless its a coding error, I don't know what to suggest apart from using the mobile version, although like you said on 10inch screen you'd prefer to browse normally.

I also did a quick check on my Kindle HD Fire and everything appear as and how it should be.

interesting as I have tried various browsers today and nearly all give slightly different results.
some will display the buttons and button images ok but not the widgets such as the clocks, or if they do that then the latest threads widget will not scroll.
I found a version of adobe flash that works and that sorted a problem I had with embedded youtube videos not displaying and also made the clocks work in some browsers.
I have tried, the standard browser that comes with the tablet, + firefox, opera, opera mini, chrome and dolphin.
can I ask if you saw the happy christmas message on the header which should have appeared with rainbow colouring, and was there an animated background on the header, also did the clocks show in the right sidebar. I dont think the scrolling threads appears for guests. Also the new post icon should be a red santa or a grey santa depending on whether it is new or has been read.
You may not have been able to see the reply and new topic buttons either as a guest.

thanks for having a look though.

you may be right about issues with CSS and java as my windows IE has been intermittently not displaying things that have a java/css source. although it is back to displaying them today

ps
just did another check and opera mini is the best at displaying the forum the way it should be but it will not display embedded youtube clips.
opera does display the youtube stuff but on the images for buttons etc.

pps
I have now started using a VPN connection and it seems to solve all the problems.
