Solved Profile Customizing

Post by Sera Lightheart on December 28th 2013, 2:13 pm

Hello,
I would like to try and customize the profiles you see. Uhm
Spoiler:
You see I want to take all of that pointed field names out and make it look more like
Spoiler:
<--

I am using a phpbb3 forum but I still want to customize the profiles to make it look more professional or clean.

Also,
Spoiler:

Can I get the code to move the name of the users to top?

If anyone could help me with this, it would be very nice ^-^ Thank you!

Hello Sera Lightheart,

For the simple profile add this to your CSS :
Administration Panel > Display > Pictures and colors > Colors > CSS stylesheet
Code:
.column1 .h3, .bg1 .column1 .left-box.details dt { display:none; }
.bg1 .column1 .details dd { margin-left:0; padding-left:0px; }

and for the name above the avatar for phpbb3 use this CSS :
Code:
.postprofile { position:relative; }
.postprofile dl dt img { margin-top:15px; }
.postprofile dl dt br + strong { position:absolute; top:0px; }

Works perfectly. Thanks a lot! Is it possible to take the Status field off? The field that shows whether one is offline or online? ^^

You can remove the image.

Administration Panel > Display > Colors & Pictures > Pics Management
Advanced Mode
I believe it is in the button tab.

Try adding this to the CSS stylesheet for removal of that :
Code:
.bg1 .column1 dt+dd+dt+dd { display:none; }

Can you explain by what you mean by " animating the avatar " ?

Add this :
Code:
.bg1 .h3 + .left-box img { transition:1.5s; }
.bg1 .h3 + .left-box img:hover {
border-radius:100%;
/* other properties */
}

You can add other properties applied on hover where the comment is. See this for a list of available properties you can use : http://www.w3schools.com/cssref/default.asp

Question! (sorry for double posting) But uhm the animation is working on the profile though the avatar on the post profile box isn't animating...
Thank you.

I would also like to know...is it possible for the users of a group to glow? I don't want just the group name to be glowing but the members of that group as well.

If you know that you were double posting, then why did you not press the edit button and edit your post?

This should add the effect for the post profile :
Code:
.postprofile dl dt img { transition:1.5s; }
.postprofile dl dt img:hover {
border-radius:100%;
/* other properties */
}

Solved Re: Profile Customizing

Post by Sera Lightheart on January 3rd 2014, 4:35 pm

I saw that, sir...but when I tried it..it's just the group name that gets the glow...You see I want all members of a certain group to have a certain glow. For example, if I have groups named red yellow orange etc, I want the members of yellow to have yellow glow around them and such.
Sorry for bothering and thank you ^^

Solved Re: Profile Customizing

Post by Ange Tuteur on January 3rd 2014, 6:08 pm

If you want it to be applied to members of a group use the following method :

CSS :
Code:
a span[style="color:HEX COLOR"] strong {
text-shadow:0px 0px 6px #f00;
}

The CSS above selects strong links with a specific color, that color being the color of your group. You should insert the EXACT hex color of your group where it says ' HEX COLOR '. When users are added to a group their names are bold, and a span tag is added to color them if the group is colorized.

You can find your groups hex color by going to :
Administration Panel > Users and groups > Groups administration > edit a group > color of group members

Copy the hex color and then paste it after color:

After that all you need to do is edit the property styles you want for the group members. ( currently I have it set to a red glow )
