In progress Can I disable the "Send to a friend" action?

Is there a way to disable the "send to a friend" option in the Action list? Or if not, is it possible to get notifications when a member uses the option?

I discovered that someone had joined my forum with the sole intention of using the "send to a friend" option to send out spam emails  Mad These emails look as if they come from the forum admin and have no indication of which member actually sent them. I only know this because a recipient replied (which came to me) asking to be removed from my mailing list!!

You can disable the 'friends or foes' system by going to.

ACP --> Users and Groups --> User Options --> User Settings --> Allow friends/foes management --> No

Thank you for trying to help, but I wasn't referring to the friends/foes facility.

The "send to a friend" action allows members to send a link to a particular topic by email to any email address that they type in. It's a way of gaining new members I suppose, if used correctly.

I have not see a way to remove that option.

You could remove the whole action option. The only thing it will also remove the share option.

Add to your CSS:
Code:
.topic-actions {
      display: none;
}
