Let the domain name expired, then try to use the one you want.

Why is the title Domain Transfer?

You can also check Godaddy for your new domain name in advanced then get it though the FM admin panel.

All you have to do is let the domain name you have now expire (Do you have one now?), then try to book the one you want.

Administration Panel > Misc. > Credits Management > Spend Credits
Domain Name
If you say that Forumotion is offering a free domain, it should say it.

It says "Since your forum has a high activity, your domain name renewal is offered by Forumotion."

However, i'm not trying to renew my domain, i'm trying to change it.

You will need to wait until the old one expires, then book the new one.
