In progress Domain Name Transfer

Post by txsoccer on January 16th 2014, 3:32 pm

Is it possible to transfer the domain from the forumotion godaddy account to my own godaddy account for someone that wants more control of the domain and DNS management?

Hi,

I am aware of the transfer not being possible anymore. Read about it here: http://help.forumotion.com/t128122-domain-name-transfer

Regards,
Sir Chivas.

Ok, what about adding custom DNS entries, specifically adding my own a records, mx record, and sub domains?

I am not 100% sure, so I will ask our Pro-Admin to view this. So, please wait patient until she views this.

I dont understand why that wouldnt be possible.  If you dont let us control the domains, at least let us change some minor dns changes.  We are talking about the easiest of changes?

If you just dont want to do it, is an account change from your godaddy account to mine doable.  Also takes little effort and keeping it with godaddy would have zero effect on anything with the forum.

If you have a Godaddy account you can use CNAME through your admin panel to have the control of your domaine.
I would remind you that Forumotion is not a domain hosting but a forum hosting.
We offer the opportunity to our users to have a domaine name. It is just an optional option not our main service.

Thanks for your understanding
