Solved Disabling the mobile version

Post by Ivo94 on January 16th 2014, 4:00 pm

I have been hoping for the option to disable the mobile site for some time, but (as far as I know) it's still not possible. There are topics about it in this forum as well but the outcome of these was that it's not possible. I'm getting complaints from my members that they can't use the forum on mobile devices, and some of them have stopped visiting my forum. Also, the desktop view works fine on mobile devices so I don't understand why it has to be obliged to use the mobile version?

It'd be really great if the option to disable the mobile version would be given to forum administrators. Smile
Hope you can look at it, thanks in advance!

I dont think this can be done nor would this be a good idea, because a lot of people like me visit forums on ipads and phones, and on smaller phones the mobile version, is better and fits on the screen better. however you can ask the staff to add a poll to your question.

Hi,

If you're trying to suggest or add more information for a suggestion that has already been suggested, then you are not posting in the correct section. If you are already aware of this not being possible, then there isn't anything that we can do.

Regards,
Sir Chivas.

But that's your opinion. If the option is given, everyone would be happy. Wink

I am aware of that, but I can't imagine it's not possible to disable the mobile version as there are codes for almost everything. Anyways, the issue is solved (see below).
Thanks a lot, this works! Very Happy
