Solved Registration Problems

Post by docattak February 7th 2014, 11:04 am

Hi
A couple of new guys have tried to register but have received not activation message.  When I try and register for them the user name comes up as being already in use - as the names used are highly unlikely to already be in use and are not in membership list, my view is that they have made an error in entering the email address (messy in both cases and one guy is dyslexic!)

I can't find any trace of them using the admin tools - I would like to remove their wrong attempt and register them with the gamename they normally use, but with the correct email address!

Thanks

Right, it sounds like they haven't even registered if there isn't any information of them doing so in the admin panel.

The username issue you're referring to can be disabled.

If you go to ACP --> General --> Security --> Disallow registration with the most commonly spam usernames (the option is something like that) and then select no and save.

Then they should be able to register.
