Solved Fading forums

Post by Mr Rockeye on March 29th 2014, 12:38 pm

Hey,

So this is the problem:
I would like the front forums to fade just a bit so you can see the background behind it.
Does anyone know how to do it?

Explanation:

I would like the black (were the arrow points at) to fade just enough to get a little sense of the background.

Solved Re: Fading forums

Hi Very Happy

Please try this code:

Code:
#wrap {
  opacity:0.5;
  filter:alpha(opacity=50);
  transition:300ms;
}

You can change the variables 0.5, 50, and 300ms to anything you want. Remember though, ms is millisecond so if you change it to a higher number, the time it will turn 'fading' would be longer.

Edit: Add that in ACP < Display < Colors < Stylesheet < Paste it < Save

Hi Very Happy

Technically speaking, if you blur the area, the font would be naturally affected because the area their put to faded a bit so sorry, even the texts would be affected :s.

Hello Mr Rockeye,

You can use RGBA to add transparency to a color :
Code:
#wrap { background:rgba(0,0,0, 0.7); }

You're welcome :rose:

For RGBA it is :
rgba(red, green, blue, opacity)

colors can range from 0-255.
