Been having the same problem all day.
When I click my bookmark to go to my forum nothing happens. It says in the status bar that it's "Waiting for illiweb". It takes several minutes to connect.

I don't have chat activated.
Here's my Forum>

Solved Same Problem

Post by itoh April 12th 2014, 4:49 am

Same problem (in trying to view Forum or signing in as Amin). If I wait for a fairly long time, the page will open, however , cannot post or enter Admin, unless I wait a fairly long time. If I type in message/text and at bottom it states "waitng," and then nothing happens. Also, the editing ruler/bar at top is missing (B, Underline, Centering, etc.)
I don't have the time to keep waiting for site to open (to view or use as Admin).
When will this be fixed?

ADD-ON: Problem still exists two days later. I've tried IE9 and Firefox on my Win7 with no success. Also tried on my Vista with no success. Just taking too long to load. Members are beginning to complain. I cleared cookies, disabled Java, etc. After waiting several minutes to get in, there is no toolbar in Admin/Editing, etc.

2nd ADD-ON: Probken still exists for 3rd day.. Still getting: "Waiting for response from forumotion.com"
When will this be fixed?
Never had it before and many members are sending me emails because they cannot enter site. Admin cannot enter either.

My forum http://vitha.forumotion.com/ has been so slow and now will not load at all. I tried under IE, Chrome, Firefox and Safari. Hoping did not loose the information on the site! I provide free custom roms and other info that I do not have backed up.

I have the same problem too lol. The WSIWYG Editor has been disappeared and it takes long time to load the homepage and topics, etc. The Admin Panel, it takes a long time to load too. Razz
This problem started since yesterday. Also, the chatbox is disappeared and it shows a blank page. But when I open another forumotion forum with domain .com, it's loaded normally and there's a chatbox, etc. >_>

The groups I am having issues with are:

http://bagasnag.forumotion.com/forum

http://blamaliciouss.forumotion.com/forum

http://creativecafe.forumotion.com/

http://creativemisfits.aforumfree.com/forum

http://wickedangelz.forumotion.com/forum

http://wildones1.forumotion.com/forum

It can't certainly be anything to do with javascript, because I haven't had that problem before or clearing my cache. It has to do with illiweb.com whatever that is. It needs to be fixed, seriously. And they are saying we need to wait until Monday. Well if the situation is that bad as it is, it should be worked on now.

Hello,

We understand the frustration, however, there's nothing we can do but to wait (we are volunteers and we only report problems) and employees of Forumotion do not work on weekends, we still don't know if there are actions being done but I can assure you that the problem is already reported.Thank you for your understanding.

Hi all,

In regards to this:
There has been no planned, or unexpected maintances preformed by either the companies Devs, or the DataCentre techs.
I have noticed no slowdowns over the past few hours, including the linked forums. This also appears to be isolated, as no other support forums have had reports of a slowdown.
Can I ask what happens if you try another browser, or clear the cache & cookies of the browser?
Preferred browsers are Firefox or Chrome

Good for you Radiohead,

Meanwhile the rest of us mere mortals are still experiencing problems with extremely slow boards. It matters not one iota which browser is used !

Hi Jenn,

Ive just checked your forum and have absolutely no speed problems, I load you quicker then I load Google.
Ive also ran you through a speed checker and seems everything is ok.

Can you try firefox, or from your mobile/cellular device?

Oldcat, I'm trying to add information to he case to present to the devs.

I have noticed in past instances, that the browser does play a role. Despite in actuality on other companies (ie facebook/google) it does not.
Also in theory, you should have faster speeds then I, as I am in Australia connecting to servers in the USA, where as you being in Europe are connecting to the French servers.
Can you see why I'm keeping everything open and not taking to the worst?

I use Firefox. All seems to be working now, but who knows for how long. I tried my regular browser ( firefox and chrome yesterday neither worked. Chrome is wrking at the minute. But in regards to the post about maintenance, that might be, but there is still some problems. What the heck is illiweb.com ?

Solved Re: [Only topic] Forum is very slow to load

Post by Raijin_Tsukino April 12th 2014, 2:31 pm

As I said in my previous post, I haven't been having the same issues with my forum as my staff and members; however, I watched my husband, whom I share an IP with while we're at home, have every single one of the reported issues all night long. We use nearly identical builds of Windows 7 and Google Chrome, so there really is no reason for him to be affected and not me; unless the issue is just randomly hitting people. We're not the only user's sharing an IP that are having the split issue; one of the other admins shares an IP with her husband and he's having zero issues, while she's having random slow downs and chat box breaks.

In reference to mobile devices, I have an Android 4.1 phone, and use both stock browser and Google Chrome; neither of which had any issues at all. If it was loading slowly, It was no more so than normal over my shocky at best data connection.

Currently, I'm receiving conflicting reports that the issue has resolved for some members, but I'm having others randomly report in saying they are currently having one or more of the problems popping up at random still. I likely should have mentioned before, we're based out of CST(-6 GMT); but most of the problem reporters are either EST (-5 GMT) or the few random Brits and Italians we have one site. No idea if that helps; but the more information the better, right?

Solved Re: [Only topic] Forum is very slow to load

Post by RadioHead April 12th 2014, 2:42 pm

Shivers,

For troubleshooting: Has it ben increasing and decreasing in speed for several hours, or has it just been slow all day (so far) and increased now?
Has it returned to normal speed when you say "It seems to be working now"
Illiweb is some of the software that is used on the servers, not something we can access, and yes is commonly the issue for any slowdowns.

Raijin, are you running these several computers over WIFI or direct connections to the modem/router? (Via either a yellow or blue cord)

It is positive you are receiving conflicting reports because it shows some people are improving, whilst others are not which is not positive but shows there is some work being done.
On that note are your members, and the other admins situated in the U.S?

The problems are not being able to get in the groups at all as I mentioned above. But when I do manage to get in with Firefox it is really slow. Takes about 5 minutes to open a thread and in posting
the WSIWYG Editor has been disappeared. But in regards to it's working fine, yes is the answer and the speed is normal. All I can say is I hope I can get back in after a reboot.

RadioHead,

my husband is direct connection via his desktop; I'm running wifi via my laptop. The reports are coming in at random; and unfortunately I haven't been able to check in on several of them due to being at work until just recently. The only report I can say has 'resolved', at least for the time being, is my husband. The chat box problem was coming and going at random for various people; the slow downs seemed to be the same; but they where only giving me that it 'was slow to load, or wouldn't at all'; and no other information. I've got a thread up now for those that can access the site to post more information; which I will be sharing as soon as I get something more helpful than 'slow loading' or 'no chat box'. With the exception of the mentioned few Brits and the new Italian member we have; we're almost all American or Canadian far as I know. The few Australians and Pacific Islanders that use the forum have reported no problems so far.
