Spoiler:
I used the other one you provided so as to guarantee the timing and effect was exactly the same.

For those who're curious as how I did it:
I used The Gimp;
I copied the text and pasted it on a seperate layer
I use the clone tool to remove the text from the background layer without creating enevenesses.
I then copied the layer with the text 5 times. I set the opacity the first at 20, and then added 20 to each copy afterwards until reaching Opactiy=100
I copied the background layer as many times as I had text layers, plus one for the opacity = 0 (when the text isn't visible.
I then merged the text layer to the background layer in the correct order given below
Opactiy 20 => Opacity 10 (plus the background without text ontop)
I renamed each layer "FrameX (100ms)" (X being the layer number, starting from the bottom).
I then copied each layer except the 5 (Opacity 100) and placed them so as the opacity decreased until the background.
Finally, I saved the image as a gif (don't forget to click "save as animation")

If there's something you'd like different, please tell me Smile
If you're pleased with this, please add [Done] in your title as well as hosting this on your own image provider as I remove requests every month so as to save up on bandwidth Smile

Funny that you used my button as an example on the speed of flash. I had to have someone slow it down for me, as I thought it was too fast. hehe

Yes Raph I would like that. The one that a friend made was too slow. hehehe And I didn't want to hurt feelings by asking someone to re-do something they make. Embarassed

But give me a few, because I still think they look a little too large, so I am going to re-create them, and make them a bit smaller and see how they look.

Thanks a lot. Be back in awhile.

But I will start my own thread, as I don't want to monopolize efbe's thread. Wink I think my original was deleted in the clean up, but I will look for it and maybe see about resurrecting it.
