My member area has changed in admin, where everything looks like this

what happened????

None of the other forums I manage or admin are doing this.

I also can not adjust anything on any members profile including mine, because apparantly there is a new password embedded in the new password slot as pic shows

Please help...

Hello,

This may be a problem connected to connection issues lately, can you try clearing cache & cookies and also try using another browser?

For the password issue, have you tried leaving it blank?

yes, I cleared forum cache, but not pc yet, I will try that later.... but it is on both computers, our laptop, and my desktop.

Also the password, as you can see in the screen shot, is already written in the top slot of every member including my own, and the email slot says CafeAdmin, which is my screen name, on every members profile in the back end. You can't do anything back there in the member area, because it requires you filling out the slots properly, but you can not.

Hello,

Resynchronize your forum:
http://help.forumotion.com/t50777-resynchronizing-your-forum

Also, have you tried what I suggested?:
For the password issue, have you tried leaving it blank?(remove/erase the password)
Then save the changes done.

Yes, I thought I made that clear, sorry, it won't let you do that, because you have to put a matching password where the blank "new" password goes.

I will read the resyncronise thread now tho.

OK Jophy, I tried resyncing, and that did not fix the problem.

I tried removing the password, (it let me leave it blank) but then said invalid email (because All emails are saying CafeAdmin, which is My user name.)

So I tried taking out the password again, (leaving it blank) and resetting my email to what it is supposed to be, but when I clicked save, it went right back to "CafeAdmin" in the email slot, and an unknown password in the first new password slot, just as the original screen shot I posted shows.

Hello,

Do you mind sending me through private message a test admin account for me to take a look at this problem? Thanks.

Thank you.

I think I have worked out the problem. It is probably browser-related. When I visited your forum using Google Chrome normally, I got the same problem. However, when I used incognito mode, I didn't receive any problems and everything looked normal.

Since you are also using Google Chrome (as seen in the screenshot), try deleting the saved password for your account for the forum in the settings. Make sure that you know what your password is before deleting it!! Then, log in again and see if the problem persists.

I hope that makes sense.

You can have another administrator (on your forum) change your password, and you can change it after logging in?

Well, while you're still logged in, I suggest that you change your current password to something you can remember before deleting it.

I figured out the password guys, and did what you said,

but, not only did it Not work,, but it caused all kinds of other loading issues now.
it is taking about 4 or 5 minutes for each page to load, and when they do, things like the recent topics app, are all stretched out and taking up a lot of space on the page, instead of scrolling....

Also, I tried the incognito mode you spoke of, and after 20 minutes of waiting to get to the back end, yes, I could see things normally, but not in normal mode.

Only now, none of my forums, mine or others, will come up without a very very long wait for pages, and the apps don't work right????

Actually, the loading issue is a separate matter. Many other forums are experiencing problems as reported in this only topic: http://help.forumotion.com/t132227-only-topic-forum-is-very-slow-to-load

well, as I said, the other problem is still there, when I use Chrome in normal mode, but I guess if I need to make any changes to a member etc. I will have to use incognito mode. I just hope the issue gets fixed from whoever needs to fix it, cause it is very inconvenient.

I guess if you guys can't fix it, it must be Chromes issue.
Thanks for trying, and keeping my fingers crossed. Just hope it does not keep members form joining etc.

It is a very odd issue that I really don't think is Forumotion-related. This is because we've had some problems with the forums recently that were due to Chrome's software. The problem could resolve itself soon. If not, we can always ask the pro admin to take a look into it.

As a temporary work-around, you can, as you said, just use incognito mode to make any changes to profiles.

Thank Base, you guys Rock!

I will keep my fingers crossed, and if any extra issues arise, like I can not do
anything at all back there, I will certainly let you know.

Thank you all!

Sorry for posting again, but I just thought of something.

How come I only see this problem on the DigiScrap forum, and not on Any of my others in the back end. All other forums are just fine in Chromes normal mode, so maybe it is not just a Chrome issue

Hello ^^

It is a Chrome 34 issue.

On previous releases Google Chrome took into consideration the autocomplete=off Forumotion made on admin panel. Since Chrome 34 this value is ignored.

What you can do

1/ Use another browser (Comodo Dragon based on Chromium 31 does not have that issue, Opera also is using Chromium code and as far as i know, no problem with Opera)

2/ Clic on email field and delete it. Once you clic somewhere else, yellow fields should turn white

3/ Disable autofill
-> Type chrome://settings in url field and <enter>
-> At the bottom of the page there is an advanced settings thing, click on it (does not know real english word for it)
-> Passwords and forms Uncheck the first option (autocomplete)
-> Close and restart your browser.

As I mentioned in the original post below in the quote, and in the post again just above yours Neptune, this Only happens on my DigiScrap forum, (which is the only forum which is premium with a paid for domain from Forumotion, if that makes any difference Jophy, Base, other Admins....) and Not on any other forum on forumotion, and I am using the same exact browser.

I would use a different browser until Chrome fixes the issues.

I think it happens only on that forum, because for the other boards you did not save your password when browser asked you what to do.

I wanted to check something and launched Chrome 34 yesterday, as i had no cache, no password in that browser i had to logout and log in again to get your issue.
And once again, if you click on email field, delete its content and click somewhere else, autocompleted fields (yellow) will disappear and exact email will be there again letting you change anything as usual.

It was to check that i launched Chrome (usually my browser is Comodo Dragon, using Chromium code too)
