Hello

Many users have issue with emails:

1- Some users don't receive notification for "Watched topic, New member registration,..." (Thanks for explaining in which situation(s) you get the problem)
2- Some users receive notification and email in Spam box (Thanks for explaining in which situation ex: notification for newsletter, new regsitration, watched topics,...)

3- Some users receive emails or notification with strange title:

Just to mention that my member is still not receiving notifications.  Everything is set as it should be and notifications are not going to her spam or trash box.   Reference :

Problems descriptions:
- Problem 3 solved since March 6th in the end of afternoon
- Problem 2 started once problem 3 solved. All notifications arrived in spam. I accepted sender, added it to contact and solved for me now (provider = Hotmail). Some of my members (maybe all) encountered that issue and solved themselves the same way i did.

Spambox is spambox, sorry i deleted all notifications yet.

My users complain that the email noreply@forumotion.com on Forumeiros is causing the SPAM messages. Would it be possible to resume board@forumotion.com ?

Im having soo many problems from my emails not updating for the last 6 months to me not being able to access my ownership of my website.

I probably wont get any help but at least i can spam messages to be able to pm a moderator.

HELP ME

Ive been using forum motion since 2010

heres my site www.vfvfallen.com

The problems I have is that my emails havent updated for 6 months. I even deleted it and created a new one only to have the same problem while checking them on roundcube

Then second I have nothing to go off of that I actually own my domain name and site. How can I get that information? Because I'd like to increas emy mailbox limits and do some other things I'm not able to. Since I've actually paid for it thru your site.

I don't know what account I've signed up here numerous times before but now I know why I gave up everytime since I'd have to post enough messages just to talk to someone. Thats a sad thought taken that I've actually spent money here.

You only need two posts to send a pm. There are many places you can post without spamming and/or breaking the rules.

Hi again

Email notices started working again - but then they stopped. I have a hunch, maybe, it's connected to the notice that says "if you don't view the post there will be no more notices given" ... I do view the posts, so I don't know if that's the problem - but you know how "technology" is. :/

So far, so good ... now any post-email dismissal has to be done manually. Technology is a pain in the butt sometimes.  :/

I am not receiving any e-mails from my forum into my hotmail account.  I don't get messages saying I have new members waiting to be cleared, or e-mails confirming I have a PM waiting for me. I know some of my members are having similar problems, it is getting frustrating please help.

The member who complained that she received no email notifications to posts still does not receive anything.   I advised her email provider was BT (British Telecom).   I trust this is one that your technicians are still working on?

Hello

Hotmail issue is an existing problem for a long time and not directly linked to this topic:
If you use an email system like hotmail, make sure that this email is not placed in the 'Junk Mail'. Add it to your white list to receive notices and other information from the forum.

We has of last night I started recieveing all those e-mails in my junk mail and have moved them over to my in box.  What ever happened it is work better now, fingers crossed we should be ok.

Can anyone give me an update please on the problem I have with the member who still does not receive any notification emails of posts made.  Everything is set in her profile correctly, the email does not go to her spam/junk box, the email does not arrive at all and never has.  Her email provider is BT (British Telecom).    It has been some weeks now since I asked for help.

Did you ever try to join that member from your personal email ?
Maybe she has entered a wrong email (zero instead of letter O for example)

You also told us she received from other forums. Are those forums hosted by Forumotion too ?

The member tells me she is not sure who hosts a lot of the forums but I know for certain that 2 are Proboards.      She has definitely not got any mistakes in her email address - it is one she has used for more than 10 years.    I have asked her to check her Profile and inform me which topics she is watching, however, I feel 99% that she watches them all because she is interested in everyone's postings!
