Solved postbody background & hovering text

Link:www.uctest.actieforum.com

Question one:
How do I make the background wider without moving the text? because now it's to close to the end of the background.
I'd like to have the background around the red line.
Here is the code I use on it:
Code:
.postbody .content {
    background-color:rgba(15,15,15, 0.5);
   -webkit-border-radius:5px;
  -moz-border-radius:5px;
    border-radius:5px;
}
Image:

Question two:
If I hover over a particulair part of text it becomes black, and thus hard to read.
I'd like this to be another color but I don't know what the codes are, I've tried some but without success.

Hi Very Happy

How do I make the background wider without moving the text? because now it's to close to the end of the background.
I'd like to have the background around the red line.
Here is the code I use on it:

Can you please link us to your real forum instead and make sure we can view the topics and whatnot because it's kinda hard to code for the test forum?

For #2:

Code:
dt label:hover {
  color: #Color !important;
}

Please change #Color to the one you want.

You should now be able to see the 1# message posted.
www.uctest.actieforum.com/t1-your-first-subject

The code works partly, if you hover over the text it works but when your on the same height a bit to the right the text becomes black again. The text is white from origin.

The text asking 'Which group would you like to join ?' does that hover thing. (so you can test with it)

Hi Very Happy

For the other hover thing, try this:

Code:
fieldset dl:hover dt label {
  color: #Color;
}

Well, as for the background, I actually can't comprehend what you want clearly so this is a luck shot:

Code:
body {
    background-repeat: no-repeat;
    background-position: center center;
    background-size: /*width*/100% /*height*/100%;
}

Hello,
For the first question try using this code instead of the other one you have..

Code:
.postbody .content {
background-color:rgba(15,15,15, 0.5);
 -webkit-border-radius:5px;
 -moz-border-radius:5px;
border-radius:5px;
border: 1px solid #FF0000;
padding-left:10px !important;
padding-right:10px !important;
}
