Member unable to sign up
Hi there.
A member is trying to sign up to my forumotion site forums.voicebee.com and they received a message Sorry, but this e-mail address is invalid. Why is this happening and how can I remedy this for them? They only want to use this email.
Thanks,

Hi,
You can ask the user to generate a fake e-mail, then go to ACP => Users & Groups => Inactive Users => Select the user and activate the account manually then after that change the e-mail address to the correct one.

Okay we tried that and the system still came back with the same message. What now?

Re: Member unable to sign up
It seems like there is a problem with that email address, so all I can suggest is using a different one.KimmyCocoaPuffs wrote:Okay we tried that and the system still came back with the same message. What now?
Re: Member unable to sign up
The member is stating that is their only email address. Now two other members have told me their email won't work either. These are valid emails that they use everyday.

Thanks for checking. Yes signs up are working for some and not for others. There has been 7 declines today.
Re: Member unable to sign up
No problem. Sorry about that. I would just go ahead and activate them manually.
Re: Member unable to sign up
That's the thing. It's not even registering them. They are getting rejected during the sign up process. Once they input the username, email, and password and hit the save button, that is when the message is coming up Sorry, but this e-mail address is invalid.
Their email is a valid email.
Any other suggestions?

Re: Member unable to sign up
Yes, I understand that. Have them create a fake e-mail and then do it manually.
You could send out a notification through announcements or the login/register popup box.
I apologize but that is all I can suggest. :(I hope I helped atleast a little bit.
You can ask a staff member to report this issue.

Re: Member unable to sign up
Are the people using the same email provider, like Yahoo?
