I don't think you are allowed to do so for that as I believe it is a right of the user to register with a username length they want up until 25.

You can restrict it with javascript by checking the value length, but it can still be bypassed to create usernames above 10 characters. So technically, no it is not possible.

The console of each browser has a Javascript disable option. Of course, you'll be lucky enough if the person does not even know how to do that; however, their browsers of course would ask that Javascript blocker on launch just like what happened when I went to your main forum.

There are so many ways on how to bypass it, you should search Michael_vx's profile and search for a topic regarding the right click, there we indicated the numbers of ways to bypass Javascript.

As I mentioned it can be easily bypassed by disabling javascript, so it wouldn't be ideal.

Firefox for example :
about:config > javascript.enabled > toggle false

Your best solution would be to suggest an option to limit the username characters.

Just adding this bit for Google Chrome users. Press F12 on keyboard and something that looks like a tool, you would be able to see Disable Javascript there and such.
