In progress Newsletter Problem

Post by skidsolo May 17th 2014, 4:25 pm

I'm getting a lot of newsletter not going through again. This is what we are getting pinged back to us:

"This is the mail system at host s43.mail.dnspro.org.

I'm sorry to have to inform you that your message could not
be delivered to one or more recipients. It's attached below.

For further assistance, please send mail to postmaster.

If you do so, please include this problem report. You can
delete your own text from the attached returned message.

                 The mail system

It's not effecting all members of course and those affected have confirmed their e-mail addys as correct.

Can anyone help please?

If you read most of them, they say to contact the email provider.

So are you saying each member has to contact their email provider?

It would help to know what could be causing the issue.

That's what I'm trying to find out.

It would seem unlikely that 29 members with 8 different providers, are suddenly having a problem with their email providers.

So where do we go from here?

I read some of the messages.  What I got from some of them was that the email addresses were not legit ones.

You can contact the email providers, and they can tell you in detail why the emails were not delivered.

Normal emails are getting through. It seems the problem lies in emails from my website.

Can anyone help please?

So just to clarify, when you send newsletters to people, some people aren't getting them?

That is correct.

First month 34 failed to go through and were pinged back to us.

This month 29 didn't go through and were pinged back to us.

Not all the same members both times.

I'll pass this along to our Pro-Admin as I believe this issue has happened before.

Could you provide the date of when you sent the newsletters. And what groups you sent the newsletters too e.g. all members or a custom group you created. Could you also provide your forum URL.

Also ask your members if they have Forumotion on their allow list?
