Allowing PHP coding for Forumotion pages!

Post by Jadster on May 25th 2014, 3:27 pm

Hello FM Nation,
I wanted to come here to bring a new suggestion to the table. I would like to recommend allowing PHP Coding into HTML pages. Some reasons for this...
1. Scripts / Stores can be easily built using PHP.
2. More designs and customization
3. More things to do with FM Pages.

I am bringing this up because I have an affiliate store script that I would like to use but in order to use it, I need access to using PHP coding which we aren't allowed to use on ForuMotion at this time. So I wanted to recommend / suggest this to everybody because I feel it would help out others who know how to code with PHP and will also help with adding more things to ForuMotion in the near future.

Please feel free to vote and ask any questions that you may have.

Regards,
Jadster

I said no because allowing php to connect to the database can produce exploits, and hey that wouldn't be a good thing Wink. Stick with Jquery. It allows you to send content via post.

Honnestly allowing php for a free server is a terrible idea. People could easily turn it into a ddos server, or even into a keylogger site, and 75% of the time forumotion wont even view the sites. Stick with Jquery.

Hello

actually I think this suggestion won't be applied, as allowing PHP need databases, and Forumotion said that database cannot be available to members due to security reasons

even if this will be really helpful, I think it will never be possible thumleft
