Solved Banning/Removal of a font color.

Post by DarkEeveeon on May 26th 2014, 8:09 am

Okay. This may seem naive, but I need to get rid of a color on my forum. A couple of users keep posting in a hard-to-read color. I cannot ban them, and telling them stop does nothing. Is there anyway to stop certain colors from showing up?

If anything at all, is there any way to disable all colors (temporarily)? Thanks for the help. Sorry if this is too brief.

Add this to your CSS:
Code:
.pun .entry-content font {
color: black !important;
}

Just change the black to the permanent color you want to apply.

Hello,

I do not see any colours on your forum popping up.

You can have your forum colour white. Your using a hitskin,

AP>Display>Choose a theme>Skins>Select a skin, I would suggest to you grey.

Okay. It's a particular user who is abusing the colors. Not everyone is. And he's changing his text to black, which blends in well with the background. I'm trying to disable his color (#000000), or stop him from posting in bbcode at all.

You can't prevent a user from not using bbcode color, you can't disable the bbcode color too since it's part of the editor. So the only thing left is to use the CSS code i provide, which is to set a permanent color when someone posted on a thread/topic.

Does the code work with hex values?

EDIT. I've tried it with a hex value, another color in text form, and then the code just as itself. Nothing changes in the forum.

Oh you're using Phpbb2? Use this one instead:
Code:
.postbody font {
color: #111 !important;
}
