Hey guys,
that is a Javascript code, not CSS. CSS is much different. I can tell it is a Javascript code because it has "var" at the very beginning. Have you set your website to WYSIWYG in the ACP at all?

So you basically want to make the big text editor like in quick reply?
I can easily make you get rid of the smiley box, but I'm not sure about the button.

I have not found a way to expand the editor, but you can use this code to center your editor:

Code:
div.sceditor-container.ltr.sourceMode {
position: relative !important;
left: 15% !important;
}

Hello TheShaka,

See if this will work for you :
Modules > JavaScript codes management > create a new script

Title : your choice
Placement : in all the pages
Paste the code below and save :
Code:
$(window).load(function() {
    if (document.getElementById('postingbox') === null) return;
    $('.sceditor-button-date').before('<a class="sceditor-button sceditor-button-emoticon" unselectable="on" title="Insert an emoticon"><div unselectable="on"></div></a>');
    $('body').append('<div id="emoticonsFrame" class="sceditor-dropdown" style="display:none;"><iframe style="border:none;" width="220" height="350" src="/smilies.forum?mode=smilies_frame"></iframe></div>');
    $('.sceditor-button-emoticon').click(function() {
        $('#emoticonsFrame').css('left', $(this).offset().left);
        $('#emoticonsFrame').css('top', $(this).offset().top + 25);

        if ($('#emoticonsFrame').css('display') == 'none') $('#emoticonsFrame').show();
        else $('#emoticonsFrame').hide();
    });
    $('.sceditor-button-source').click(function() { $('.sceditor-button-emoticon').removeClass('disabled') });
    $('.sceditor-button').not('.sceditor-button-emoticon').click(function() { $('#emoticonsFrame').hide() });
    $('.sceditor-container textarea').focus(function() { $('#emoticonsFrame').hide() });
    $('.sceditor-container iframe').contents().mousedown(function() { $('#emoticonsFrame').hide() });
});

Odd indeed. While previewing(code enabled also) do you get any errors in your console(F12 > Console) ?
