Why would you want to remove the ability to deleted pm's? Your boxes will fill up, and you will not be able to receive any more.

You're not following.

By removing the aforementioned buttons, It doesn't remove the Delete functionality In It's entirety for PMs. Once you enter a given Private Message, the Delete option Is still there, hence can delete the message that's currently viewed.

CSS:
Code:
p {
  display: none;
}
This might remove other things, too.

We can do it through the templates. Only the founder can them.

Administration Panel > Display > Templates > Post & Private Messages > primsgs_body
Look for this part and remove it:
Code:
<p>{S_HIDDEN_FIELDS}
 <!-- BEGIN switch_save -->
 <input class="button1" type="submit" name="save" value="{L_SAVE_MARKED}" />&nbsp;&nbsp;
 <!-- END switch_save -->
 <!-- BEGIN switch_move_profile -->
 <input class="button1" type="submit" name="moveprofile" value="{L_MOVE_PROFILE_MARKED}" />&nbsp;&nbsp;
 <!-- END switch_move_profile -->
 <input class="button2" type="submit" name="delete" value="{L_DELETE_MARKED}" />&nbsp;&nbsp;
 <input class="button2" type="submit" name="deleteall" value="{L_DELETE_ALL}" /></p>
Make sure to save the changes and publish the modified template.

Thanks for your reply.

Prior to editing the Template, Is there a way to back It up firstIn case of failure? I always perform backups before attempting anything of this nature.

You can delete the modified template which will cause the default template to be enforce.

I've just checked, and there's no "Delete" option there.

Also, In the templates main window, It says"Before making any changeswe strongly recommend that you backup your templates.
How would one go about backing It up? I can simply perform a copy & paste Into a text file, and replace the contents If need be, but I would've thought there'd be a backup function available.

That is the only way.

Forumotion does a backup of your forum automatically. That is how you can restore your forum to an earlier date.

I appreciate your help and support.

I simply copied the contents of the Template (as a backup) to a text file, removed the parts you've mentioned, saved & published the workand It works great- the objective has been achieved.
