Post by Bloodhound1958 on July 18th 2014, 8:33 pm

Hello,

How would I return my forum to a theme that was used say... 1-2 years ago?

Kind Regards,

Was the theme from Hitskin?

If so you'd have to search for it.

Sadly backups of themes don't go that far back

AP > Display > Skins > Themes Management
Restore the Skin Section

I do not know if it will go back two years.

Restoring a theme will erase your customized CSS and modified templates.

Only goes back 4 months. The theme was a custom theme I'd made which I likely did not save. I know the forum is setup for automatic backup. How does one access backups more than 4 months old?

I don't believe you can access backups of a longer period than four months.

Perhaps you could log into the utilities and see if they do longer theme backups. http://www.forumotion.com/utils

I tried the utilities. Same thing...only four months. Guess I'll have to "re-make" it! Smile

Thanks for your advice.

You can not backup any longer then the 4 months as this would take up way to much server space to keep that sort of data for that long and think about all the members and forums we have the server would be overloaded with not needed data. Sorry but the theme is lost if you did not save it on hitskin
