Solved Widget Tutorial

Post by Guardian-Angel August 15th 2014, 2:58 am

Hello

I am working on organizing the widgets of a forum I took over in March after the admin did not return for several months. No one had passwords therefore a lot of issues had to be re created.

I'm having difficulty when it comes to widgets. This is what I need to know how to do.

Replace the inactive Twitter account with a newly created Twitter.
Have the new Twitter scroll on the Portal.

The inactive Twitter account has a List attached to it which is scrolling on the Portal.
Replace the inactive list scrolling on the Portal with the newly created list that is attached to the new Twitter.

Eventually create new Facebook and have it on the Portal.

The Follow Us and Share buttons are directed to some inactive Social Media Pinterest etc, the previous admin created. Remove inactive buttons.

Is there a tutorial on the above that can assist me with cleaning up these issues?

Thanks for all the help.

Administration Panel > Modules > Portal/Widgets > Portal
Press the modify button on the widgets you want to edit.  Press the delete button to remove the ones you want.

Solved Re: Widget Tutorial

Is it done through Structure?

I removed the old Twitter, it's gone from my portal. I created a new widget with the new Twitter name which appears as a personal widget and not listed in Management, I'm not sure if that's correct. How do I get it to appear on my Portal?

Thanks

This topic is solved. It's done through Twitter by creating a widget, then c/pasting the html code into forumotion's Twitter widget that you create in Modules - Portal Widgets - Portal Management - Structure - Create Widget.

Thanks everyone, have a good day!

Solved.
