Be sure you have actually at least one dice created (Modules / RPG / Dice Roll). Also note that the dice roll option will not be available when creating a new thread (from my experience), when editing a post and neither in the quick-reply box.

When you normally reply, a dice button will be visible to the right hand side of the [Others]-Button in your reply-box. A bbCode tag will appear. Write a number between those tags to define how often you want to roll the dice.

Dice roller not set? I think the phpBB verison wouldn't affect the dice rolling at all...

By the way, today I have read a thread somewhere that the Techs are currently working on the Dice rolling feature... so maybe some things will change anyway soon. Smile

The dice should be available for both versions. Have you considered these things as well:

Be sure you have actually at least one dice created (Modules / RPG / Dice Roll). Also note that the dice roll option will not be available when creating a new thread (from my experience), when editing a post and neither in the quick-reply box.

When you normally reply, a dice button will be visible to the right hand side of the [Others]-Button in your reply-box. A bbCode tag will appear. Write a number between those tags to define how often you want to roll the dice.

emm...
I know all of that.
And I tried once more to creat dice. First time it was OK. But second there came message: "Critical Error

Could not get dices information"

And
right hand side of the [Others]-Button in your reply-box
there is no [others] button. Anyway. I'm lost T_T

So, have you now successfully created a dice in "Modules / RPG / Dices Roll"? If yes, you should be now able to roll the dice:

- You can use this bbCode: [roll="MyDice"]1[/roll]. The red part being the name of the dice, and the green part defines how often you want the dice to be rolled.

- The [Others] button and the [Dice] button will only appear if you have the advanced editor enabled. To do this, go to "General / Configuration" and set the option "Activate extended message editor" to YES.

"General / Configuration" and set the option "Activate extended message editor" to YES.

It is actually here:

General / Messages and Emails / Configuration
