Setting up a ranking system
I want to set up a ranking system, i know my formula for how its worked out but not sure how to implement it.
Rank formula;
Participation{Games Play + Events Games Plays+bonus for other things}
+
Performance{ (Total Performance of Opponents + 400x(win-lose)) / total games
+
Progression {Dorm Base + Progression}
I just need to work out how i would implement this on a forumotion, to minimize interaction with staff / Any Ideas?

Hello,
Is this what you are referring to:
You are wanting to add a legend at the bottom of the screen what you listed OR you are wanting, say a user joined your forum named 'Gup123' and you would like to add a title every time he posted with his username and a rank title?
Please tell me if I'm wrong.

More of a way to keep track of the numbers, though what you said would be ideal afterAngelaHolmes wrote:JessicaFx wrote:I want to set up a ranking system, i know my formula for how its worked out but not sure how to implement it.

Hey,
Unfortunately, there isn't a way to implement formulas to calculate ranks.
The only true automated way to implement ranks is through post count. Otherwise, special ranks will need to be given manually through an admin/staff.

Re: Setting up a ranking system
for games such as garrysmod you can actually do something similiar to this.
basically you8 will need to create an php code able to retrieve status from an addon that records the individual's peoples time/kills/death etc etc, and store through steam key,
you will need to register an steam API to your website for doing this and the steam API key opens up a lot more features too. you can read more about this at: http://steamcommunity.com/dev
service like this only support games from steam.
you could probably do sort of same thing through gametracker but im not sure if they will allow you to retrieve info from their database but you could allways ask them.
