Solved Re: Posts are separated

Hello prenianle,

Your forum version is Phpbb2. It is natural for the posts to be together as the layout is designed using tables. Whereas the Support Forum's forum version is Phpbb3. Phpbb3 doesn't use many tables for it's layout, in fact most of it is div elements.

In short trying to separate Phpbb2 post tables to appear like Phpbb3 wont have the same results. While it's somewhat possible, your forum may be deformed in the process, especially if you choose to change the identity of a table to say a block.

The most you could do to give the appearance of separation would be this :
Administration Panel > Display > Templates > General > view_topicbody

Find :
Code:
<tr class="post--{postrow.displayed.U_POST_ID}" style="{postrow.displayed.DISPLAYABLE_STATE}">
 <td class="{postrow.displayed.ROW_CLASS} browse-arrows"{postrow.displayed.THANK_BGCOLOR} align="center" valign="middle" width="150">
 <a href="#top">{L_BACK_TO_TOP}</a>&nbsp;<a href="#bottom">{L_GOTO_DOWN}</a>
 </td>
 <td class="{postrow.displayed.ROW_CLASS} messaging gensmall"{postrow.displayed.THANK_BGCOLOR} width="100%" height="28">
 <table border="0" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0">
 <tr>
 <td valign="middle">
 {postrow.displayed.PROFILE_IMG} {postrow.displayed.PM_IMG} {postrow.displayed.EMAIL_IMG}<!-- BEGIN contact_field --> {postrow.displayed.contact_field.CONTENT}<!-- END contact_field --> {postrow.displayed.ONLINE_IMG}
 </td>
 </tr>
 </table>
 </td>
 </tr>

Replace by :
Code:
<tr class="post--{postrow.displayed.U_POST_ID}" style="{postrow.displayed.DISPLAYABLE_STATE}">
 <td class="{postrow.displayed.ROW_CLASS} browse-arrows"{postrow.displayed.THANK_BGCOLOR} align="center" valign="middle" width="150">
 <a href="#top">{L_BACK_TO_TOP}</a>&nbsp;<a href="#bottom">{L_GOTO_DOWN}</a>
 </td>
 <td class="{postrow.displayed.ROW_CLASS} messaging gensmall"{postrow.displayed.THANK_BGCOLOR} width="100%" height="28">
 <table border="0" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0">
 <tr>
 <td valign="middle">
 {postrow.displayed.PROFILE_IMG} {postrow.displayed.PM_IMG} {postrow.displayed.EMAIL_IMG}<!-- BEGIN contact_field --> {postrow.displayed.contact_field.CONTENT}<!-- END contact_field --> {postrow.displayed.ONLINE_IMG}
 </td>
 </tr>
 </table>
 </td>
 </tr>
        <tr style="height:20px;"><td></td></tr>

Save and publish.

This will add a small space after each post.
