Color Text Editing Issue Empty Color Text Editing Issue

Post by Guest September 24th 2014, 5:11 am

Hey,

Earlier today I was making a post on my Forums, and I accidentally misspelled something so I went back to: Edit and corrected it. Then when I pressed: Send (aka Save), the color was changed to it's original setting. So I had to use the Color again and then experimented a bit more. Then I pressed: Edit once more. And then did not change anything and pressed: Send again. And it took away the color I chose for the text, again bringing it back to it's original setting. I am not sure if this is a glitch but the text color was erased, basically "reset". And is there any way to fix this glitch? If so, thanks, and farewell.

Were you using the WYSIWYG mode?  If you were, sometimes it will remove the tags when you edit a post.

Is the last button on your text editor gray or white?

Gray = WYSIWYG mode
White = Source Mode

I still don't understand... I tried doing the coding but it seems it won't work. I don't think I am putting the code in the right places. Can you explain and possibly copy and paste where and how I need to organize it?

When you are in WYSISWYG mode, you do not see the BBCode tags.   In source mode, you do see the BBCode tags.

Examples:

WYSISWYG - Red

Source -
Code:
[b][color=#ff0000]Red[/color][/b]

However, if you want to turn off WYSIWYG mode from the admin panel (causing it to turn off on the entire forums), go to:

Administration Panel => General => Forum => Configuration => WYSIWYG Mode: OFF
