Allow Baidu To Index Our Forums

Post by SLGray on September 25th 2014, 3:53 am

Baidu is a Chinese search engine. Our forums' robot.tx files block it. It should be allowed to index your forums.

Seeing as how it may not be of use to some people but it may serve a great purpose to others, I will vote yes! If it is something that people can use and make good use of to make their site better then I see no reason why they shouldn't have it!

I was looking at the site, and notice you can create an account. Have you created an account? Maybe after creating an account, they will give you meta tags to add to your forum.

I have an account in Baidu, but is in Baidu account found space in the shielding you Baidu spiders, because I am in the post in the cause of the have Baidu sent me Baidu account letters come out... Now Baidu every day, sent me a letter, I said this website through the "Robots.txt" file completely shielding Baidu

I posted this for hiwwe. After doing some research, I see a lot of complaints about Baidu not following the instructions in robot.tx files. It is indexing things that are private or not visible to guests.

Is there a reason why Chinese members can not use Google or Bing?

Baidu just appears to be a Chinese version of Google but by a different company entirely. It searches the same as google but everything is in Chinese. So I don't think they "can't" use google, it may just be that this is their "preferred" choice of Search Engine.

Baidu if you don't follow the words, why did I come here reaction problem? In Chinese between individual companies, mutual slander phenomenon is very common, for example, if Baidu does not follow, not because you don't want to let him included he is not included, isn't it?

As for Google and Bing, in China is not smooth, as Google is now simply cannot be opened in China mainland, completely is to shield the authorities, because Google does not match the review and supervision, the mainland authorities to know, Chinese continent is totally different with your democracy in order to survive, Bing, many search results are deleted, share simply is negligibly small in China mainland city...

So Chinese completely depends on this forum Baidu a search engine to bring the flow, in Chinese mainland, if the site is not Baidu included, that means some people will never pass the "know your site search engine"...

Please in the future try not to double/triple post. You could have posted all information in one post. Also if you are using Google Translate, it is not really do a great job translating what you want to said.

Well if the Chinese government blocked Google and its products, they could also blocked other things, too, like Forumotion.

Google translation is not normally used in China mainland, only open the page, but also the translation of.Cn pages, but inside the translation function is not available, so I used the Baidu translate... Baidu technical level with Google is compared, including I translate your words, I also need to watch a few times to understand a general meaning...

Chinese mainland authorities almost blocked all Google services, now Baidu interface also has a new revision, the feeling is Google version, do not rule out there are factors of collusion in...
