Piracy/Hacking warning on my forum. Empty Piracy/Hacking warning on my forum.

Post by RazielBach October 22nd 2014, 7:29 pm

Hi there,

I was curious if there was a way to figure out what exactly I'm being warned for. My forum is under threat of deletion in 9 days because apparently there is Piracy/Hacking occurring on my forum, though as far as I know there isn't. Is there anyway for me to find out exactly what piece of content is breaking the Terms of Service?

I received no forewarning of this, no e-mail, nothing. It just told me that my forum broke these rules. As I stated before, I have nothing on here from members or myself that are breaking the Terms of Service for Piracy/Hacking.

My forum URL is - http://eriviyn.forumotion.com

You need to read the Terms of Service - https://www.forumotion.com/terms-of-service - and go through your whole forum.

Even if you have areas hidden to guests, Forumotion can see those areas.

I have read the Terms of Service, but like I said, without telling me exactly what it was the was breaching the ToS I cannot know what to remove.

I have removed some things that I suspect may have been the issue, but from what you're telling me I won't know until my forum gets deleted?

The litigation team will check your forum again on the date in the warning.

Right, that's what the warning says. My issue with that is, if I missed whatever is apparently breaking the Terms of Service, my forum will be deleted that day, which is an issue.

That's why I want to know if there is a way for me to find out directly what was causing this.

It could be related to the server that you have information about on your forum.

Strange, I'm not too sure because I have seen other forums with similar information. I'm assuming it's some of my downloads that are breaching the Terms of Service (which I deleted the ones that I believe may have caused the issue) so I guess I will have them all deleted then and apparently hope for the best on the 1st.
