HTML Code? Points System Empty HTML Code? Points System

Post by DaBigestBob November 28th 2014, 11:31 pm

Alright I have seen it on other forums perhaps not forumotion but I do know it can work. I just don't know how to do it.

I have a points system for a community I am starting. Essentially for attending events I want to award them points

Say 1 meeting that user earned 300 Points. I do know how to go to the administration control panel and donate points to users however as the community grows that may start becoming tedious and very difficult. I could find more people to do it but I don't want them all to have access to the administration control panel and such.

So my problem is I want to either have the ability to allow users to add points into other people's profiles without giving them administrative powers. Or perhaps the coding to create an entirely new point system to what forumotion has that I could set it that only certain user accounts could add points and such.

It may be asking a lot and if its just not possible then I understand. But it would make everything work a lot smoother and better.

EDIT:

I am currently using phpBB2 for the forums

HTML Code? Points System Empty Re: HTML Code? Points System

Post by Guest December 10th 2014, 5:12 pm

Hello DaBigestBob,
As it stands this is not possible. There is no way to transfer or alter the points of a user without the access of Administration powers. So there is no possible way for this to happen. There isn't any known code to use on a Forumotion forum to allow this sort of action. I do apologize but you are more then welcome to make a suggestion about this in the suggestion board here at the English Support Forum to hopefully see it added in the future.

Hope this helps!
