Problems Getting Images To Change
Hello, I created two images I want to use on my forum, but for some reason, nothing changes. I created a background and a header. Two things happened.
The first is the background. No matter what I changed in administration, including changing the css (which ended up giving me an error message), the background remains the same. It's a single image that is not to scroll, which the current theme is set at, so only wanted to change the image. I tried uploading to servimg and using that code. Tried clicking the send an image under the main image that loads the background in admin (for some reason it decided to load it twice), and I tried changing the url in several spots, including the css, but nothing worked
The second is the the header I created. That one I could get to load, but for some reason my png was changed to a jpeg and given a black background. I tried two different ways to do this, using the upload from the admin section and tried the url from the sevimg, and still got the jpeg. It needs to be a transparent background or the image will just look strange since the forum itself is all lightly colored.
The theme itself is called Baker Skin and the link for it is here http://en.hitskin.com/search-a-skin/baker-skin/202674
My forum is here http://faerylwomynscottage.canadian-forum.com/

Re: Problems Getting Images To Change
Have you tried adding these images through the Pics Management?
Administration Panel => Display => Pictures and Colors => Pics Management => Advanced

Re: Problems Getting Images To Change
Yes and then I clicked on the background which took me to the next page and showed the image and the box at the bottom where you can upload an image. That is where it added twice when I uploaded once. Tried the same thing with both images and the png changed to a jpeg instead of remaining as I made it. I tried changing the url and save, then saved on the previous page, hit refresh on my forum and the background does not change and the header has a jpeg.
I just switched my theme so the problem is the site, not the theme, as the same things happened.

Re: Problems Getting Images To Change
goto your css and search for the word "body" you will see somthing along the line of
change that image url to the url of the image you would like or remove the line
aand you will be able to change it under picture management again
- Code:
body {
background-attachment: fixed;
background-color: #E5E5E5;
background-image: url("http://i57.servimg.com/u/f57/11/76/69/34/bg111110.jpg");
}
change that image url to the url of the image you would like or remove the line
- Code:
background-image: url("http://i57.servimg.com/u/f57/11/76/69/34/bg111110.jpg");
aand you will be able to change it under picture management again
Re: Problems Getting Images To Change
Just tried that and it won't let me delete that line. Once I hit save, that same line is there again. It also will not let me manually replace the information with the other url in the CSS. It's like there is a lock that will prevent anyone from changing the images. I never had this problem before, though I was using invision at the time.

Re: Problems Getting Images To Change
when you save the css is it giving you a error at the top of the page?
Re: Problems Getting Images To Change
No it doesn't. A while ago I tried to change them image and got an error about disrupting the site in a bad way (wish I could remember what I did so I could get the exact message), only remember it would have been a very bad idea. Since then it has not shown up again.
I also noticed I can't get the right time zone for my forum. It's set correctly under the admin section but after refreshing I checked and it's off by half an hour.
