Solved Help with Button spacing/positioning

Post by CrystalSoul on January 19th 2015, 9:57 pm

Hello, I was changing the forum buttons until I came across this and realized that there was literally no space between the 2 buttons: http://pokit.org/get/?35e767b0a13dc4580a8229e98e281a4b.jpg

Another thing is; would it be possible to change the positioning of the 4 buttons http://pokit.org/get/?b0caae1cfe666c476705b5907c1106a2.jpg to down here http://pokit.org/get/?7a42b0d71764911e0b8fa897294f6dda.jpg next to the 'Profile' and 'PM' button?

Thanks for reading.

Solved Re: Help with Button spacing/positioning

Post by Ikerepc on January 19th 2015, 10:10 pm

What forum version you using?
Please give me forum url and test acc for first.

For second
Go to admin panel -> Display -> Templates -> General -> vievtopic_body

1st step
Find this:
Code:
                  {postrow.displayed.THANK_IMG} {postrow.displayed.MULTIQUOTE_IMG} {postrow.displayed.QUOTE_IMG} {postrow.displayed.EDIT_IMG} {postrow.displayed.DELETE_IMG} {postrow.displayed.IP_IMG} {postrow.displayed.REPORT_IMG}
Delete it

2nd step
Find this:
Code:
                  {postrow.displayed.PROFILE_IMG} {postrow.displayed.PM_IMG} {postrow.displayed.EMAIL_IMG}<!-- BEGIN contact_field --> {postrow.displayed.contact_field.CONTENT}<!-- END contact_field --> {postrow.displayed.ONLINE_IMG}
And add this after that:
Code:
{postrow.displayed.THANK_IMG} {postrow.displayed.MULTIQUOTE_IMG} {postrow.displayed.QUOTE_IMG} {postrow.displayed.EDIT_IMG} {postrow.displayed.DELETE_IMG} {postrow.displayed.IP_IMG} {postrow.displayed.REPORT_IMG}

So it will look like:
Code:
                  {postrow.displayed.PROFILE_IMG} {postrow.displayed.PM_IMG} {postrow.displayed.EMAIL_IMG}<!-- BEGIN contact_field --> {postrow.displayed.contact_field.CONTENT}<!-- END contact_field --> {postrow.displayed.ONLINE_IMG} {postrow.displayed.THANK_IMG} {postrow.displayed.MULTIQUOTE_IMG} {postrow.displayed.QUOTE_IMG} {postrow.displayed.EDIT_IMG} {postrow.displayed.DELETE_IMG} {postrow.displayed.IP_IMG} {postrow.displayed.REPORT_IMG}

Change this:
Code:
                  {postrow.displayed.PROFILE_IMG} {postrow.displayed.PM_IMG} {postrow.displayed.EMAIL_IMG}<!-- BEGIN contact_field --> {postrow.displayed.contact_field.CONTENT}<!-- END contact_field --> {postrow.displayed.ONLINE_IMG} {postrow.displayed.THANK_IMG} {postrow.displayed.MULTIQUOTE_IMG} {postrow.displayed.QUOTE_IMG} {postrow.displayed.EDIT_IMG} {postrow.displayed.DELETE_IMG} {postrow.displayed.IP_IMG} {postrow.displayed.REPORT_IMG}

With this:
Code:
                                          {postrow.displayed.PROFILE_IMG} {postrow.displayed.PM_IMG} {postrow.displayed.EMAIL_IMG}<!-- BEGIN contact_field --> {postrow.displayed.contact_field.CONTENT}<!-- END contact_field --> {postrow.displayed.ONLINE_IMG} </td><td> <div class="hvala_post">   {postrow.displayed.THANK_IMG} {postrow.displayed.MULTIQUOTE_IMG} {postrow.displayed.QUOTE_IMG} {postrow.displayed.EDIT_IMG} {postrow.displayed.DELETE_IMG} {postrow.displayed.IP_IMG} {postrow.displayed.REPORT_IMG}</div>

or this:
Code:
                                          {postrow.displayed.PROFILE_IMG} {postrow.displayed.PM_IMG} {postrow.displayed.EMAIL_IMG}<!-- BEGIN contact_field --> {postrow.displayed.contact_field.CONTENT}<!-- END contact_field --> {postrow.displayed.ONLINE_IMG}<div class="hvala_post">   {postrow.displayed.THANK_IMG} {postrow.displayed.MULTIQUOTE_IMG} {postrow.displayed.QUOTE_IMG} {postrow.displayed.EDIT_IMG} {postrow.displayed.DELETE_IMG} {postrow.displayed.IP_IMG} {postrow.displayed.REPORT_IMG}</div>

Difference is small, seen at small resolution screens.

And add this to css:
Code:
.hvala_post {
 text-align:right;
  float:right;
}

I don't see reply and post new buttons at threads, and at forums there is only one button post new

You need to add this to css, than it will work.

For new topic and add reply go to vievtopic_body template.

Find this:
Code:
            <!-- BEGIN switch_user_authpost -->
            <a href="{U_POST_NEW_TOPIC}" rel="nofollow"><img src="{POST_IMG}" id="{POST_IMG_ID}Newtopic" alt="{L_POST_NEW_TOPIC}" align="middle" border="0" /></a>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;
            <!-- END switch_user_authpost -->
            <!-- BEGIN switch_user_authreply -->
            <a href="{U_POST_REPLY_TOPIC}"><img src="{REPLY_IMG}" alt="{L_POST_REPLY_TOPIC}" align="middle" border="0" /></a>
            <!-- END switch_user_authreply -->

At the end of template (row 440 - 445 for me) and check if you have that
Code:
&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;
codes, if not, add them, if yes I need to use css

Alright, thanks the CSS code fixed the spacing.

But I really don't understand what you mean by this.. @Ikerepc

In this code you need to have few nbsp tags:
Code:
            <!-- BEGIN switch_user_authpost -->
            <a href="{U_POST_NEW_TOPIC}" rel="nofollow"><img src="{POST_IMG}" id="{POST_IMG_ID}Newtopic" alt="{L_POST_NEW_TOPIC}" align="middle" border="0" /></a>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;
            <!-- END switch_user_authpost -->
            <!-- BEGIN switch_user_authreply -->
            <a href="{U_POST_REPLY_TOPIC}"><img src="{REPLY_IMG}" alt="{L_POST_REPLY_TOPIC}" align="middle" border="0" /></a>
            <!-- END switch_user_authreply -->

And I don't see them
