pssd forum
Hi.
I am new here and I don't know if this is the right place for my comment. I noticed pssd.forumotion.com was banned and it is a source of a lot of help for a not very well understood medical condition.
I ask you to please, please reconsider this.
Thank you,
PZS1234

Unfortunately once a forum has been banned, it can't be unbanned.

Hello @PZS1234,
If the forum was banned, it means that there was questionable content on there, that did not conform to our Terms of Service. We would not ban a forum for no reason, so there must have been something illegal on this forum for it to be banned without notice. Please take note of the following from the agreement :

Re: pssd forum
Thank you Ange Tuteur and Derri, I really don't remember anything that violated the rules. I sincerely hope another forum could be created to continue helping the community that has been impacted by this medical condition. I can vouch that it was a very important source of information and support for me (very few doctors know about this or have time to investigate this).
Thank you

Re: pssd forum
Actually that's false. Funny how an admin should know that right? Well, at least you'd think it is because you are able to appeal the ban. Unless that form doesn't really get read...Derri wrote:Unfortunately once a forum has been banned, it can't be unbanned.
Not trying to be rude, I'm just saying.
I will back PZS in saying that this forum is very important. It saves lives, and that's no exaggeration. It's more or less a forum about depression and anti-depressants. Seriously? We don't break rules or post illegal videos. We're trying to get back to living our lives.
I don't know how this dubious banning panel works, but I find it weird how forum admins and staff members have absolutely no ability to check with these people. I find it odd how you can ban a forum and never give a reason. With admins saying that they can't do anything and then leaving the thread as solved and walking away. Is it legal? Yea, it's in your terms. But it's inconsiderate, and will hurt forummotion long run. Who wants to run a fourm through you if you up and ban a 4 year forum that has no serious spam or ruel breaking. You'll claim that you only ban for serious offenses, but I'm here to tell you that so many of the forum members are claiming nothing went wrong. There was no blatant illegal postings or anything that broke your conduct. We did have a stalker who could have posted something in order for it to get banned, but that's why we should at least be able to see our 4 years of research and work so we can save it even if this [Language] attacked our forum.
I don't know if this is a legit company with a building where you can go and talk to this dubious panel, but if it is, you probably know these people... Either way, could anyone on this forum do something more than telling us that our forum is f-ed.
Have a good day. Please do the right thing.

Re: pssd forum
Hello @GhostPSSD,
As I have said in my last post, we would not ban a forum without reason. Something on that forum had to be illegal, therefore breaking the Terms of Service. You're free to contest Online Guardian's decision. Other than what I've already mentioned, there's nothing more that I can do.

Re: pssd forum
What is the exact reference on the forum, which is illegal?
Can you find out exactly what it was that banned this site?

@GhostPSSD
I'm sorry I didn't mean to imply that a Forum can't be unbanned but we physically can't do anything and, as the admin must follow the appeal process.

FYI on pssd.forumotion.com
This website is in research forum that saves people's lives. There is not any harm that comes from it. You are banning a community from vital information.
Please request that the admin lift the banned.

Thank you both for responding. I understand now that there is nothing that you can do. One last question, whose site is this? Yours or Online Guardian's? I don't understand how another company makes decisions on sites that you host. It's a foreign idea to me, but it currently looks as though you're on their leash, but it's your company. I'm sure that someone at the top of forum motion could do something, I guess I just wish that we could've gotten in contact with one of those people instead of being shipped off to the site of a company that is tacky enough to use adfly when you try and open up your "banned" forum.
Thanks again, I understand that you guys are trying to help and I appreciate what you've done.

Re: pssd forum
Actually ghost the mods on this support forum are not under any leash, they are volunteers. They do not get paid by Forumotion, they just do not have the power to do anything along those lines. Forumotion admins dl. Buttercup and the GodFather are both paid employees of forumotion. They may be able to offer better suggestions for you, however they only work on week days from like 8am to 5pm or something like that. So tommorow maybe they can help you when they come in. The mods here can not help you even if they WANTED to.

I appreciate forum volunteers helping with my questions.brandon_g wrote:Actually ghost the mods on this support forum are not under any leash, they are volunteers. Re: pssd forum
We re-made the forum on our own. Anyone looking, here's the link.
Link removed
I understand this link will get banned, but we are done using forummotion now so IDC.
If you're an admin, please leave it up as long as possible, as some people are really looking for it.
See ya'll on the forum.

Re: pssd forum
@GhostPSSD Please do not advertise your forum here. I have removed it your post. As explained above numerous times by my colleagues, there must have been something on your forum that was breaking our terms of service. This led to your forum being banned by OnlineGuardian.
Unfortunately, we cannot do anything about this. We are simply volunteers here on the support forum. If you truly believe that there was nothing breaking our TOS on your forum, then you are free to contest the decision.
Having said all that, it appears that you've moved away from Forumotion. This topic is no longer needed. If you need anyone needs any more help, then they are free to open up a new topic.
