Solved Colour of text in Editor Mode

Post by Games4theworld on January 28th 2015, 9:01 pm

Hello all,

I have this annoying issue where text in the Editor Mode turns white automatically. This makes it very hard to edit HTML code in posts.
See example below:

Is there any way to change only the colour of text in the Editor Mode? (Maybe even via CSS)
The forum's default text colour is white, which might be the cause of this issue. Changing that default text colour on all forum pages is not really an option.

Thank you very much for your time and help in advance! Wink

//EDIT

I know that it's possible to change the box' background colour, but I really want the text colour to change only.

Hi.

Paste this at your css:

Code:
.sceditor-container iframe, .sceditor-container textarea {
color: black;
}

Hi Ikerepc,

Thank you very much for your quick reply.
I've added those lines to the CSS and updated it, but the text is still white when I got to "Editor Mode", unfortunately.

//EDIT

Also cleared my forum cookies, just to be sure.

Solved Re: Colour of text in Editor Mode

Hi again,

I cannot edit the "core" CSS of the Forum, for as far as I know. (Also known as "forum's basic CSS)
However, I can view it and see the following lines:

background-color: #171717;
background-image: none;
min-width: 1px !important;
}
.sceditor-container iframe, .sceditor-container textarea {
background-color: transparent !important;
}

.sceditor-container{
background-color: #ffffff !important;
}
.sceditor-toolbar{
background-color: #ededed !important;
}

As you can see, I can only add extra code.

Thanks again. Smile

Hey this should solve your problem. Wink

@Ange Tuteur wrote:For source code mode add this to your CSS :
Administration Panel > Display > Colors > CSS stylesheet
Code:
.sceditor-container textarea{ color:#fff !important }

For WYSIWYG mode create a new script :
Administration Panel > Modules > Javascript codes management > Create a new script

Title : Your choice
Placement : In all the pages
Paste the code below and submit :
Code:
$(function(){$(function(){$(".sceditor-container iframe").contents().find("head").append("<style>body,html,code:before,p,table{color:#fff!important;}</style>")})});

Change the #fff to the color of your choice, like #000

The iframe for WYSIWYG mode has it's own stylesheet, so you need to modify the frame with a bit of JavaScript... Smile
