Solved Forum Text and Profile overlapping

Post by brandon_g on January 31st 2015, 7:03 pm

Technical Details

Forum version : phpBB2
Position : Founder
Concerned browser(s) : Google Chrome
Screenshot of problem :
Who the problem concerns : Yourself
When the problem appeared : Yesterday (First noticed it) Today (Still noticing it).
Forum link : http://broadcastingduo.forumotion.com/

Description of problem

When I visit my forum on my tablet (Using the Google Chrome Browser) I see the text at the top of the forum that says The Broadcasting Duo and your last visit and current time and date tex and the profile. As you can see in the screenshot I provided the the profile widget and the text overlap each other, I have not made any design changes lately so I do not know how it started or if any other users experience this problem. It does not appear to happen on the Internet Explorer browser. It does appear to happen on Google Chrome and Firefox browsers. If anyone has any ideas on how to fix this I would appreciate it.

Thanks in advance for any assistance,
-Brandon

When I visit your forum with a tablet, I do not see any overlapping. Does this only happen when you are logged into the forum?

Yes when I am logged In, if I use the regular intrenet on the tablet it doesnt do it, if I use chrome (which I most often do) thats when I get the problem.

Hello,

As far as i can see in the image it's the widget that has some error because if you check the image closely you can see that the main bar of the widget is bigger than it should be.
Try adding the below rule in your CSS and see if anything changes:
Code:
#content-container #left {margin-right: 5px!important;}

Thanks for the reply Luffy!

I will try adding that code now and get back to you,
I will tell you that there was a recent CSS change concerning that widget as well. The following CSS was added to make all Avatars automatically re size to 150 X 150. Maybe it had an un intended error with it as well:

Code:
.post .postdetails.poster-profile a img {
max-height:150px;
max-width:150px;
}

Thanks again for the reply, I have added the code and will check for improvements now.

oooh that code is for the avatars in posts.. Try this rule for the avatar in the login widget :
Code:
#left .forumline:first-child img {
  max-height:100px;
  max-width:100px;
}
