Well, you can create a usergroup that's for those special users, and in the Categories and forums permissions you can edit to only make that area of your forum available to that usergroup.

Please change the title of your topic to something that is related to your question/issue, so that other users will be able to find their question/issue using the search engine.

Ok, in the Admin panel go to Users and Groups > Group Administration > Create a New Group

Name it whatever you please, choose the color if you want any etc.

Make the group a Hidden group as shown here.http://prntscr.com/62tje6

Then add all the members you wish to be in that group

Once you create and save the group, go to General > Categories and Forums > Create a New Forum.

Again, name it whatever you please and create it. Once created you will be prompted with a permissions panel for that forum. Untick all other options Except Administrators (because it cannot be unticked) and choose the usergroup you created. give that group the permissions as shown here:http://prntscr.com/62tkhp do not tick the last 2 options. Save.

You have now created a usergroup that can only view that particular section of your forum.

If you have any questions or doubts, please let me know.

No it doesn't work like that. If you want only Admins to post in a section set permissions in categories and Forums for Admins to only post in that section. You simply untick write and reply for all other usergroups.

Yes, please do as SLGray says. It's important that your message subject matches your questions.

@rag3,
Ranks from the Rank Administration part of the Admin Panel are just there to act as images that you can customize for groups and such. These ranks don't have anything to do with permissions and such. If you would like to make a section like what you are talking about then you simply would want to make the board but change permissions so that only the specific group (and administrator) can see that section. This can all be done in the Permissions tab. If you would like further assistance I would be more then happy to guide you step by step as to how to do this.

Hope to hear from you soon!
