Solved Having purchased a new domain name...

Post by Joy Division Tue 17 Feb - 18:10

domain name for my forum through forumotion I understand it takes around 5 days or so to be processed...

Ive also purchased for one year the rights to disable forumotion links , which I notice have gone from the bottom of my forum...

But will these also be gone in the URL address of my forum ?...

And if so (which I gather it would disable forumotion links in the forum address) how long would that take roughly to process?

...as it doesn't seem to say how long this would take.

Regards, JD

Yes I would assume it would still be gone when your new url gets processed. I can not think of any reason why it wouldn't.

Yeah I've already purchased new doamin ..maybe the disable forumotion copyright is soley for the only the forumotion link at the bottom of forum?..

Hopefully forumotion won't be in my forum address as I've purchased both a domain name as well as purchased disable forumotion links both for one year.

Thanks guys.Smile

you cannot disable the footer links by law it has to stay there but all other forumotion links should be gone... as far as you new domain be sure you check your founder email it will give you update on your domain which its probably already activated you just have to goto acp>general>forum>forum address

click the personalized domain name tab

click force url redirect YES then cllick OK

Hi...when I go to personalized doamin names I don't have the option to click force URL redirect, I only purchased this domain name within the last couple of hours or so and the only emails I've recieved are just PayPal communication conforming payment ...

So do you think that just means it hasn't gone through yet?
