Solved How to add email-to-board capability?

Post by sakyle Fri 6 Mar 2015 - 1:56

Hello,

Is there a way to add email-to-board capability on a forum? Or reply-to-thread via email?

I searched for the topic and couldn't find this subject anywhere. Sorry if it's a redundant question.

Thanks!
Angela

Do you mean when you get an email, your reply will be posted on the forum?

Yeah, I think that's what I mean. Like a member subscribes to a thread via email, and replies by email to the thread, and it is posted on the board. Is that doable?

Yes... go to your profile (edit profile or my profile) go to notifications and tick what you wish to recieve notifications for by email and save.

Hope this helps,
-Brandon

Thanks Brandon. With notifications on, I'm simply getting an email that says there is a reply. The message doesn't have the reply itself. And when I reply to the notification email, it doesn't post to the board.

Perhaps I'm explaining myself poorly. I'd like to be able to have members subscribe to specific threads and be able to post to that thread by sending an email. Does that make sense?

I do not know if that is possible or not. I don't think it is though :|.

I believe it is not possible to reply to the email so it is posted on the forum.
