Hello all,
After long time I watched that the most members of support forum having problem with CSS size.
I have to suggest a CSS Compression Tool for support forum so the members will able to compress their forums CSS. I believe this tool is very useful for a support forum in my opinion.

i agree we could use some tools on the site or perhaps a new tutorial with with links to other sites that provide services such as html,javascript,css validation and compression. even tho i think it would be better if we had our on rather then directing users to other sites

Hello @_Twisted_Mods_,
Some simple services like this are able to install them on support forum directly on main menu bar due it doesn't need any resources.

Re: Suggestion About CSS Compression Tool

Post by JScript on April 23rd 2015, 2:50 pm

Hello!
I vote YES, but I am in favor of most of the codes must have the CSS "embedded" because it avoids this problem mentioned here and several others as forgetfulness when removing JavaScript, example: http://help.forumotion.com/t139656-categories-hide-show#950726

I'll list some good reasons to have the CSS embedded in JavaScript:
1- We will not have problems with CSS size;
2- We do not need to remember to remove the CSS of a tutorial that we no longer need;
3- You will never have trouble adding the CSS;
4- The tutorials are more practical and easy because you do not need to manually add the CSS.
5- Finally, to have a working code, we just need a single task: Just add JavaScript.

As I am also in favor of all the tutorials should be written for all versions in a single file, so if we want to change version, we do not update a code that does not work in this version!
Thus a code becomes "universal" and is much better than being "picking" code here and there to a particular version.

Compare this tutorial: http://help.forumotion.com/t102749-category-toggle
With my code: http://help.forumotion.com/t139656-categories-hide-show#950025

And you see that my code is for all versions and the user will only have to add the JavaScript, so if you change the version, you do not worry about the code and the CSS, simple as that!
