In progress E-mail Noticications

Right after my forum creation people started to ask me how to stop the e-mail notification system which i find very usles.
There is any way i can cancel those notifications for everyone ?

No I do not think you can do it for the entire forum, but you can do it indivually in the persons profile (you should tell your users this), 1st you must go to 'my profile' (the edit profile not actually viewing the profile) then find 'preferences' I believe it is. Look for Recieve notifications via email and uncheck all and save. If it is not in preferences try 'notifications'.

Profile > Notifications
Unchecked the By Email boxes.
