I have lost the URL to my forum

Post by Adam360 on March 10th 2015, 12:22 pm

Technical Details

Forum version : phpBB2
Position : Founder
Concerned browser(s) : Google Chrome
Who the problem concerns : Yourself
Forum link : ( link is hidden, you must reply to see )

Description of problem

I know this seems like a silly question... but is it possible that somebody could have taken over my URL?

I created a forum as I was doing a project for uni and needed visuals, but upon trying to access the forum (after previously accessing forum previously on the same URL), I seem to have been taken to a different forum.

The forum URL I am trying to access is www.npower.forumotion.com however, it keeps taking me to http://npower.forumer.ro/ which is a counter strike forum... which I do NOT own.

I have tried accessing the utilities but seem to have misplaced my details to log in, however, I do believe that the forum was created with the email

Email Removed ~ Derri

I even have an email on that gmail saying that my forum URL is power.forumotion.com... and when I click the link, it takes me to the counter strike forum..

Hello,

If you are the Founder you can reset your password by following the steps in this tutorial:http://help.forumotion.com/t127211-password-problems-or-lost-your-founder-s-password

As for your forum url thing, I am not sure what that's about, it seems puzzling but I am sure a staff can help sort this for you.

Hello,

If your forum had less than three posts, three members and reached the age of three months then its automatically deleted. I searched our database for your forum with the email, URL and other information you provided and I can't find it.

So I assume its been deleted from our server and the redirection goes to the closest matching forum.

In that case, it has probably been deleted...

Is there any way to get it back as I was using this as a means of creating visuals for a university project and therefore, it's rather important.

P.S - Thanks for the fast responses.

Can you PM the email you used to create the forum, I removed it from your above post. It might be possible but I can't promise anything.
