Forum on Portal? Empty Forum on Portal?

Post by Tattastic Wed 8 Apr 2015 - 23:59

Hello,

Hope I have put this in the right section, it seemed the most appropriate to me.

I have recently been given a forum to help out with on Forumotion. I am new to this platform, and although I could pick up the general and edit the colors images and so on pretty easily, I have been tasked with making some big changes if possible.

I am looking at the possibilities of how to do this.

I either want to be able to put the forum content onto a portal page?
Or put items above the forum content on the Forum page?

Are any of these possible, and if so any help would be greatly appreciated.

The forum address is... www.clan-arc.com
Version: phpBB3

Thanks for any help in advance.

Hello,

May you provide more details as to what you wish to accomplish? Are you trying to set your forum to have a portal? This can be done easily in ACP-->Modules-->Forum widgets and portal management.

Thanks for replying.

Sorry my description was a bit brief.

When I go the area what you have mentioned - the middle box is solid blue and shows 'Your forum content will be here' - what I am looking to do is get some widgets above that box, some html custom widgets I have coded. But you can not drag and drop like you can on your portal page into the middle section (with it using both left and right columns).

So what I am asking is there anyway to get widgets above the middle blue box on that page?

Or if not can you get the Forum Content widget into a portal page?

Is that more clear?

Ah ok.... hmm... I don't know if this is entirely possible, I know you can add html and make the widget using the homepage message or the scrolling site announcements.
